Abstract

The Theater of the Oppressed is one of the most prominent types of theaters that emerged according to the theories of its founder Augusto Boal, due to the new ideas it carries that made the theater take a sharp turn in its history. Accordingly, the research came in four chapters. The first chapter contained the methodological framework, which included the research problem, the importance of the research, the need for it, the aim of the research, the limits of the research, and the definition of some of the terms mentioned in the title. As for the chapter, it contained the theoretical framework and included two topics: The first topic / Sources of intellectual influence in the experience of Augusto Boal, the second topic / Types of theaters in the Theater of the Oppressed. The chapter concluded with a set of indicators. As for the third chapter, it was procedural and included the research community, the research sample, the research tool, the research methodology, and the sample analysis. As for the fourth chapter, it contained the results and conclusions of the research.
