AL-Yaman bin Abi AL¬-Yaman AL-bandaniji (284 AH) and his book (AL-Taqfiyah in Language) and the matter of influence and impact

Abstract

This research traces the life of Al-Bandaniji, his writings, his pioneers and his students, especially the book of Al-Taqfiyyah, his method and what was said about it. The research presented the method of the book, which he arranged according to the endings of the words only, and the disagreement over Al-Bandaniji’s leadership of the rhyme system; because there are other dictionaries that followed this system.

The research concluded that the rhyme system is the result of the efforts of Al-Bandaniji in his book (Al-Taqfiyyah fi Al-Lugha), Al-Farabi in his book (Diwan Al-Adab), and Al-Jawhari in his book (Taj Al-Lugha and Sihah Al-Arabiyyah), which are the books that dispute the leadership of the rhyme system.
