Abstract

Climate change is one of the biggest challenges facing humanity today, as its effects leave serious consequences on environmental, economic and social life. Although climate change affects everyone, women suffer its effects disproportionately, especially in developing regions. Women play a crucial role in the areas of sustainability and environmental protection, as their participation has proven to contribute to promoting environmental solutions and reducing climate-related risks.

The problem of climate change has become the most important and dangerous issue on the list of international problems, which in turn imposes mandatory cooperation between countries of the world to limit its repercussions, especially after its frequency has increased recently and heat waves, droughts, hurricanes, forest fires and devastating floods have multiplied, and have begun to negatively affect the security of countries. and stability, especially those suffering from conflicts and unstable situations,

Despite all this, we find that women are vulnerable to discrimination even in a changing climate. Therefore, this report aims to explain what is meant by climate change and explain its causes and effects. Then, we study climate change and the challenges of women’s empowerment and decision-making by studying the negative effects resulting from climate change and its harshness as challenges that stand. A barrier to women's empowerment and decision-making.
