The Shakespearean corpus is characterized by its openness. Which made directors around the world draw from it to enhance their vision throughout history, with the richness and privacy it contains. Because it is a blog haunted by amazement with the images hidden within it that have the ability to attract and remain, and resistant to oblivion due to the eternal human contents and values it carries, which gave the text richness and unlimited capacity for interpretations.
It made him a constant source of support for directors in various parts of the world to venture into directing the text and opening up its contents. So that their vision is contemporary and serves the director’s directions.
Research questions: How did the Iraqi director treat the Shakespearean corpus? What are the accidental transformations? And what are the directorial treatments followed by the director in his dealings with Shakespearean texts?
The importance of the research: It lies in the director’s ability to shift the text and includes his vision, skill, and multiple levels of vision of the text.
Research objective: To study the transformations in the theatrical presentation of “Hamlet” across time periods and to study these transformations in the Shakespearean canon and the pluralism of its reading. Which came with a historical guide to the view of critics and researchers on the Shakespearean text and its roots from which Shakespeare derived his texts.
The research confirmed the presence of the Shakespearean text, which resembles the world in every historical era, so that we can find what we are looking for from its exploits.
